Neurotoxins

Neurotoxin injections are a popular cosmetic treatment that is used to reduce the appearance of

wrinkles and facial lines on the face. There are several different types of neurotoxins available today.

Some examples are Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify.

Several factors contribute to the formation of facial lines. Decreased collagen production, cellular

Neurotoxins work by temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause wrinkles, smoothing out the skin's

surface. In addition to its cosmetic uses, neurotoxin is also used for medical purposes such as treating

migraines, excessive sweating, and muscle spasms. Neurotoxin injections can be administered by a

qualified healthcare provider and typically take only a few minutes to complete. Neurotoxin treatments

typically last several months, until the body removes the product. Further injections may be necessary or

the issue may resolve itself (ie headaches, muscle twitches or excessive sweating.
